Hearts Overboard by Becky Dean
A sweet, clean YA romcom. I enjoyed reading Savannah and Tanner’s story! After her boyfriend dumps her for being too “boring”, Savannah goes on an Alaskan cruise with her parents and their close friends. Unfortunately, their friends’ son Tanner, Savannah’s nemesis and the antithesis of everything Savannah wants in a guy, is also along and they’re stuck together an awful lot. They end up fake dating to make Savannah’s ex jealous, but we all know how fictional fake dating works in romance!
I liked the characters! Savannah is a bit stuck in her ways and reluctant to take risks; I could identify with her fears and reluctance to try new things. Tanner is fun and sweet and unpredictable. Plus he gets Savannah’s sarcastic humor. It’s great to see Savannah emerge from her self-imposed rules and find love. I’ve enjoyed every book I’ve read by Becky Dean!
